Getting a job in Finland is a nightmare for foreigners

An increasing amount of educated international professionals enter the Finnish labor market due to various reasons such as a family reunion, education, or regular migration when new opportunities arise. However, the challenge of getting a suitable job is what many international professionals based in Finland have in common. Many professionals end up doing casual jobs to keep their bodies and souls together. Many are not satisfied with their current jobs but they just do it because it pays the bills. This attitude affects the input and output of the person’s performance.

I totally understand the situation and the challenges we face as international professionals when we end upin jobs that don’t improve our skills and that do not in the best possible way contribute to Finnish society. I have many friends who have Master’s degrees and are finding it very hard to get a professional job in Finland.
